Welfare Transition Program (WTP)

The WT Program emphasizes work, self-sufficiency, and personal responsibility as a program structured to enable participants to move from welfare to economic self-sufficiency.

In order to participate in the Welfare Transition Program, individuals must first apply with the Department of Children and Families (DCF). To apply, please visit the Florida Department of Children and Families Access Florida website.

Individuals who are required to participate in the WT program, will receive a Notification of Mandatory Action letter with instructions. To maintain eligibility for TANF benefits, participants must complete between 35 to 40 hours per week of work-related activity.
