Frequently Asked Questions

Learn more about program requirements and additional resources.

The Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment program, also known as RESEA, is designed to help individuals receiving Reemployment Assistance benefits return to work more quickly. A staff member will meet with you to review your job search progress, provide personalized guidance, and connect you with local employment and training resources that fit your career goals. Completing the program is required to continue receiving Reemployment Assistance benefits. Most appointments are virtual, but in-person options are available upon request.

Yes. If you would rather meet in person, email RESEA@careersourcepbc.com and we will help you schedule your appointment. We are here to support you in moving forward with your job search in a way that works best for you.

During your appointment, a staff member will meet with you one-on-one to understand your goals and help you take the next steps toward employment. You’ll receive personalized career support, including up-to-date labor market information about local job openings and wages, help creating a clear reemployment plan, and guidance to strengthen your job search activities. The staff member can also connect you to workshops on resume writing, interviewing, and other skill-building opportunities, as well as community resources that can support your overall success.

Follow the four steps above, and we’ll guide you from there. All participants must also create a basic Employ Florida profile.

  • What happens if I do not participate?  It’s important to stay actively involved in the program. If you miss an appointment or don’t complete the required steps, your Reemployment Assistance benefits could be delayed or paused. If something unexpected comes up, please contact us right away. A staff member will work with you to reschedule and help you stay on track.
  • What if I’m already working?  If you’re currently employed, you don’t need to continue in the program. Just let us know by marking it on your questionnaire so we can update your information and close out your requirement.
  • Can I bring my child or children to my appointment?  We understand that finding childcare can sometimes be difficult. If possible, please try to arrange childcare before your appointment. However, if you’re unable to do so and can’t attend virtually, let us know and we can hold your appointment in our family friendly room so you can participate comfortably.
  • Do you provide accommodations for individuals with disabilities?  Yes. We are ADA compliant and provide accommodations to ensure all customers can fully participate in the program. If you need a sign language interpreter or any other accommodation, please contact us at least one week before your appointment so we can make the necessary arrangements.
  • What language options are available for this program?  Our virtual orientation and services are available in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. If your native language is different, a foreign language interpreter will be arranged to ensure you can fully participate.
  • Why am I required to participate in this program?  You were identified as someone who may benefit from additional job search support and reemployment services. The goal of this program is to connect you with tools, resources, and guidance that can help you return to work more quickly and confidently.
  • How long will my appointment take?  Both virtual and in-person appointments usually take up to two hours to complete all steps and get the support you need.
  • Do you provide priority of service to U.S. military veterans?  Yes. We are proud to offer priority of service to U.S. military veterans and eligible spouses, ensuring faster access to employment and training services.
  • What are my responsibilities while participating?  You’ll work with a staff member to create a reemployment plan that outlines your goals and next steps. You’re responsible for completing the activities in that plan, and your staff member will guide and support you throughout the process.
  • How do I reschedule my RESEA appointment?  If you need to reschedule, please contact us within seven calendar days of the date on your appointment notice by calling 561-340-1060 ext. 2337. A staff member will help you select a new time that works for you.
