Palm Beach County’s unemployment rate for January 2022 announced today is 3.4 percent, below the year-ago of 5.8 percent, and below the 4.4 percent national rate and Florida’s 3.5 percent rate. The county’s unemployment rate has remained below the nation’s for more than a year, according to the latest monthly reports released today by CareerSource Palm Beach County and the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (all numbers not seasonally adjusted).

(Oct. 22, 2021) – Palm Beach County’s unemployment rate for September announced today is 4.1 percent -- below both the 4.6 percent national rate and Florida’s 4.3 percent rate for more than a year, according to the latest monthly reports released today by CareerSource Palm Beach County and the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (all numbers not seasonally adjusted). September’s rate also dropped 2.5 percentage points below the year-ago rate of 6.6 percent.

(Sept. 17, 2021) – Palm Beach County’s unemployment rate for August announced today is 4.7 percent -- below both the 5.3 percent national rate and Florida’s 5.0 percent rate for a full year, according to the latest monthly reports released today by CareerSource Palm Beach County and the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (all numbers not seasonally adjusted). August’s rate also dropped 3.4 percentage points below the year-ago rate of 8.1 percent.
West Palm Beach, Fla. (Sept. 10, 2021) – For the first time since available records began in 2005, there are more job openings than unemployed people in Palm Beach County, according to statistics released today by CareerSource Palm Beach County and the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity. These statistics reveal that there are 38,544 job openings and 36,626 unemployed people in the county (latest statistics available for July 2021; new statistics will be released for August on Sept. 17).

(Aug. 20, 2021) – Palm Beach County’s unemployment rate for July announced today is 4.8 percent -- below both the 5.7 percent national rate and Florida’s 5.1 percent rate for 11 consecutive months, according to the latest monthly reports released today by CareerSource Palm Beach County and the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (all numbers not seasonally adjusted). July’s rate also dropped 6.7 percentage points below the year-ago rate of 11.5 percent.
