West Palm Beach, Fla. (Sept. 19, 2025) – CareerSource Palm Beach County (CSPBC) is proud to recognize National Workforce Development Month by spotlighting the strong partnerships that expand opportunities for residents and strengthen the local workforce.
In August 2025, Palm Beach County’s unemployment rate was 4.4%, matching Florida’s average and slightly better than the national rate of 4.5%. The region recorded 702,700 nonagricultural jobs, up 4,900 over the year (+0.7%), with gains led by Education & Health Services (+2,900), Government (+1,300), Trade/Transportation/Utilities (+900), Leisure & Hospitality (+700), Construction (+300), and Manufacturing (+200).
As part of this observance, CSPBC is highlighting the impact of its established partnerships:

The Xcel Mentoring Network works directly alongside CSPBC’s Youth Department, helping young people gain mentorship, leadership skills, and guidance toward meaningful career paths.

The Early Learning Coalition of Palm Beach County shares clientele with CSPBC, supporting parents and families while preparing individuals for the next steps in education, training, and life.

Comcast, through its Project UP initiative, helps deliver Digital Literacy Workshops that equip residents with essential technology skills for employability and everyday success.
