Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Employment and Training Program (SNAP E&T)
The SNAP E&T program is designed to assist eligible participants in obtaining skills through education, training, or work experience that will increase self-sufficiency and lead to employment. CareerSource Palm Beach County, in partnership with the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO), is responsible for the administration of the SNAP E&T Program.
To participate in the SNAP E&T Program, individuals must first apply for food assistance with the Department of Children and Families (DCF). To find out more information about SNAP E&T Program and apply, please visit the Florida Department of Children and Families Access Florida website.
A SNAP E&T participant is an Able-Bodied Adult Without Dependents (ABAWD) who is required to participate in work activities in order to maintain eligibility for food assistance. Individuals who are required to participate in the program will receive a Notice of Mandatory Participation (NOMP) letter with instructions.
