Equal Opportunity
for All
Our Policy
As a recipient of federal financial assistance, we must provide this notice: Equal Opportunity is the Law.
It is against the law for us to discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, related medical conditions, sex stereotyping, transgender status, and gender identity), national origin (including limited English proficiency), age, disability, or political affiliation or belief. We also may not discriminate against any beneficiary of, applicant to, or participant in programs financially assisted under Title I of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act on the basis of citizenship status or participation in any Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Title I assisted program or activity.
We must not discriminate in deciding who is admitted to or allowed access to any Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Title I assisted program or activity, in providing opportunities or treating any person with respect to such a program or activity, or in making employment decisions related to the administration of or connection with such a program or activity.
Your Rights if You Believe You’ve Experienced Discrimination
If you believe you have been subjected to discrimination under a Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Title I funded program or activity, you may file a complaint within 180 days of the alleged violation. Complaints may be filed with our Equal Opportunity Officer (or designee) or with the Director, Civil Rights Center, U.S. Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Avenue NW, Room N-4123, Washington, DC 20210, or electronically at www.dol.gov/crc.
If you file your complaint with us, you must wait until you receive a written Notice of Final Action, or until 90 days have passed (whichever is sooner), before filing with the Civil Rights Center. If no Notice of Final Action is issued within 90 days, you may file with Civil Rights Center within the next 30 days, which is no later than 120 days from the date you first filed your complaint. If a Notice of Final Action is issued but you are dissatisfied with the decision, you may file with the Civil Rights Center within 30 days of receiving that notice.

Specialized Services for People with Disabilities
The Americans with Disabilities Act and FloridaCommerce place limits on inquiries regarding disabilities. However, some federal and state programs provide services and benefits specifically for individuals with disabilities, both veterans and non-veterans.
If you would like your eligibility for such services considered, please inform a staff member. This information will be used only for program qualification purposes. While any staff member can assist you, we also have staff specifically trained to serve veterans and customers with disabilities.
