Accountant
POSITION SUMMARY
Accountant supports CareerSource Palm Beach County (CSPBC) by preparing, reviewing, reconciling, and
analyzing accounting entries, documents, and reports to ensure accuracy, ethical representation, GAAP
compliance, and adherence to grant and organizational requirements.
COMPENSATION
Earn $28.85-$31.25 per hour with full-time hours, daytime schedule, and a full benefits package including PTO, health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Verify, code, and post accounts payable batches, journal entries, and other business transactions with
proper support.
2. Assist with cash request reports for drawdown and review general ledger activity for accuracy and proper
coding.
3. Prepare bank reconciliations and research and resolve reconciling items timely.
4. Review contractor, vendor, and subrecipient billings for contract compliance, allowability, accuracy, and
documentation.
5. Assist with audits, budget preparation, financial reporting, monitoring reviews, procedure updates, and
process improvements.
6. Maintain current knowledge of GAAP, Uniform Guidance, workforce funding requirements, policies, and
internal controls.
7. Review timesheets and assist in preparing payroll information for submittal, including related reconciliations
and accounting entries.
8. Assist in the reconciliation of employee benefit accounts and other assigned balance sheet accounts.
9. Prepare allocations and labor distributions and ensure costs are charged to appropriate funding sources.
10. Maintain financial records and documentation to support audits, monitoring, compliance reviews, and
management decisions.
11. Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or other related degree or equivalent combination of
education and experience is preferred.
2. Knowledge of MIP/Momentive accounting software and Microix or similar systems is preferred.
3. Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are strongly desired; spreadsheet and
reconciliation experience is preferred.
4. Must be familiar with GAAP, Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200), internal controls, and grant accounting
practices, and demonstrate high ethical standards.

TRANSPORTATION
Reliable transportation and the ability to travel in personal or commercial vehicles as required to accomplish
