Palm Beach County residents really do enjoy the Best of Everything --- including the ability to work in picturesque surroundings such as those offered in the area’s hospitality and leisure industry which is generally made-up of four key areas: lodging, food service, transportation and commercial recreation.
About one of every eight people living in Palm Beach County works in some occupation related to hospitality.This makes the hospitality industry the No. 1 business in Palm Beach County. With more than 268 hotels, motels and bed and breakfasts, and more than 70 country clubs, Palm Beach County is the country club capital of the world.
CareerSource Palm Beach County is working with the employers, the School District, Palm Beach State College and Florida Atlantic University to train and place talent. The youth program prepares young adults to secure credentials and enter into hospitality careers, while the country club initiative works to recruit, train and place individuals in the country club sub-sector.

Hospitality Program of the Palm Beaches
The Hospitality Program of the Palm Beaches teaches students with unique abilities skills needed to receive a nationally recognized and professional certification from the American Hotel and Lodging Association. Students accepted into the program will have the opportunity to learn and reinforce skills gained throughout the program while completing an onsite internship.
In partnership with hotel owners and the Els Foundation for Autism, students are prepared for the transition from the classroom to the workforce while completing one of two* entry-level tracks: guest services and room attendant. Each track’s curriculum teaches the foundations of lodging operations and guest services to enable students to succeed while promoting professionalism, self-confidence, positive work ethics and soft skills in the workplace.
Students who successfully complete the course will receive assistance from CareerSource Palm Beach County staff in their search for a position in the hospitality industry.
