If you are receiving Temporary Cash Assistance (TCA) from the Department of Children and Families (DCF) under the federal program known as Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) you are required to actively seek employment. Florida's Welfare Transition Program enables welfare recipients to move from welfare to work by emphasizing self-sufficiency and personal responsibility. Florida recipients of TCA must register for work and participate in assigned work activities. The WT program has both opportunities and obligations that will be explained in the introductory orientation video.
In order to participate in the orientation, you must have Adobe Flash Player installed on your computer. Click here to install the software. CareerSource Palm Beach County has computers at its West Palm Beach, Belle Glade and Delray Career Centers that have Adobe Flash Player installed, if needed.
Before registering, you are required by CareerSource Palm Beach County as part of the Work Registration to complete the following steps:
1. Register for work on the Employ Florida (EF) website at www.employflorida.com.
2. Complete the EF assessment and skills inventory at www.employflorida.com.
Complete a resume and upload your completed resume into EF at www.employflorida.com.
