Palm Beach County Department of Economic Sustainability

DES serves as a financial resource for local businesses that are unable to access traditional capital. The department develops, implements and manages all business financial assistance programs for the Palm Beach Board of County Commissioners, including loans, grants, incentives and tax exemptions. DES also promotes the redevelopment of communities through improvements to infrastructure and support for social service agencies; assists residents in the rehabilitation and purchase of damaged, foreclosed or vacant homes; and, forms public/private partnerships to develop permanently affordable housing for Palm Beach County residents.
